Mr. Mark Bitarabeho and his wife Zam, founders of the Uganda Online Chess Initiative, paid a courtesy visit to Nabisunsa Girls’ School to officially invite the school to become part of this exciting and innovative program. Mrs. Zam Bitarabeho is an old girl of Nabisunsa Girls' School. Using Lichess as the official playing platform, students of Nabisunsa Girls’ School will have the opportunity to join a growing network of schools, playing and competing against each other online at no cost. Also in attendance were Mr. Calvin Ntumwa, Chairman of Chess in Education at the Uganda Chess Federation, and Ms. Joan Ahereza, the Technical Lead of the initiative.
