Careers Day/Expo 2018 Scheduled for Thursday 21st June

This year’s careers’ day is scheduled for Thursday 21st June, 2018 s from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, starting with a general assembly. with a general assembly. According to the Careers’ Master, Mr. Ssendawula Ibrahim, the day is intended to broaden students’ perspectives, expose them to skills they need to join different career professions and to ultimately boost their ability to make good decisions about their education and work lives.
Activities of the day
a) Career Talks
S.1 to S.5 students are expected to have career talks from different professions including lawyers, teachers, doctors, engineers, economists, agriculturalists, pilots, architects, etc.

b) Inspirational Videos
We shall also have exhibitions and inspirational videos from great world scholars.

c) Career Exhibitions
Different organisations and professions will also have exhibitions for the students

d) Visits to Various Professional Entities/ Career Study Tours
– S.6 Science students (Physical sciences) are to have career/study tours to the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology(CEDAT) and at the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CoCIS) all of Makerere University.

– S.6 Science students (Biological sciences) are to visit the College of Health sciences Makerere University where they will visit the school of medicine, school of public health, school of health sciences and school of biological sciences. They will also visit the school of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and Bio-security (COVAB).- S.6 Arts and humanities will visit the College of Business and Management Sciences (COBAMS), School of Law, Borolle Logistics and the Vision Group.
